A public "thank you" to the Scottish Tartans Museum

Owing to the vagaries and vicissitudes of life my new doublet failed to arrive in time for this year's Tartan Ball in Washington DC. Quick as flash I rang the Scottish Tartans Museum in Franklin, North Carolina, explained my predicament and, with two days to spare, hired a coatee for the up coming ball. THE VERY NEXT DAY the package arrived.

Well done all you museum gift shop folks! Thanks for all of your efforts on my behalf.

I would also like to thank Scottish Tartans Museum. I just learned two new words "vagaries and vicissitudes". Excellent work on helping a fella out of a bind and so quickly.

That is great news, I'll convey your thoughts to Matt when I see him later this week.

But do you know what they mean and when to use them?

In a democracy it's your vote that counts; in feudalism, it's your Count that votes.

    Yes, here is an example:

"Owing to the vagaries and vicissitudes of life my new doublet failed to arrive in time for this year's Tartan Ball in Washington DC."

And you think me an idiot!
