my misses emailed me this today
i`m busy then as my the other halfs mother comes up from Kent to visit but i figure anyone living in Scotland might love this chance

i figure with all the Scots on here having debates about our history and so on well perhaps its time to put" yer money where year mouth is" and try get that debate on telly

BBC Scotland are working on a debate programme about Scottish History and they are looking for people who would be interested in being part in the audience.
The programme will be in a 'Question Time' style and will feature a panel of experts and celebrities, including 'A history of Scotland' presenter Neil Oliver. The whole debate will be hosted by Sally Magnusson.
We're looking for people who would like to take part in a lively, vibrant debate and would love to hear from people from a variety of different backgrounds.

The recording will take place on Friday the 27th of November at 6.30pm - 9pm. Please drop Peter a line if you would like tickets!!
    Kind regards,
    Peter

Thanks for the heads off. Should be an interesting programme, worth watching when it eventually gets broadcast.
Of course the recording would have to be the Friday of St. Andrews weekend when many of us are already committed to activities elsewhere.

yeah when i`d initially hoped to go but with her mum up for the weekend thats that out the window and like you say id imagine most folk have other plans for that day
it would be great to go though id love to see what goes on behind the closed doors of the BBC shows id imagine a fair amount of things would be edited out of the final recording

Would have been great to go but I'm heading to Dumfries that night!
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.
