Just One Mans Opinion
With the new changes in the look of the forum, I've seen some troubling reactions from valid complaints; reactions that demean those who post their honest and heartfelt opinions.
When some stated that the new look is not attractive (I believe I said and would still say "plain and ugly"), we're told that it's a "cleaner look." Honestly, can you really say Puritan grey is better than tartan?
When others said that the screen was too bright, we're told that we're seeing things and assured that a test has been done and that this screen is actually darker than the old one. Again, our opinions are dismissed as imagining the screen is brighter, you see?
When many have said they miss the old look and don't care for the new, they are dismissed with, "It's fairly obvious from other threads that a lot of people have trouble with handling change." You see, it's not that we have a valid point. Our point is not valid; we simply don't like dealing with change.
IMHO, one should be able to express their opinions as long as they fall within the guidelines of the owner of the forum.
Anyway, this is just one priest's opinion and it probably doesn't count for much. In the end, it's up to the owner what his forum looks like, and no one is forcing me to visit the forum, but I thought I should express it since I've been a member here for five years.
