Salt Lake Kilted St. Patrick's Day get-together
This year I had the opportunity to participate in the Salt Lake St. Patrick's Day Parade. Normally, the Parade organizers have all the Scottish Clans walk in the parade as a large group. This year they decided to have the Clans interspersed throughout the parade. Clans Cameron, Lamont and Kennedy were placed behind the first Pipe Band in the parade line up. I can't recall the band's name but they played really well.
Anyhoo after the parade, the family hurried home to get the meat portion of a pot luck luncheon heated up. We hosted jordanjm and his family and vegan_scot and his guest to pulled pork sandwiches, grilled mushrooms and roasted bell peppers, Jordan provided a green trifle and vegan_scot furnished a nice pasta salad and a veggie dip. Other than the fact that the day turned into a snowy one, we all had a grand time.
Here is a pic of the three of us kilted up for the day-it turns out that all three of us were at the parade.

Sounds like a fine time, even if you did end up with some snow.

I was wanting to come with my husband and daughter, but got knocked down by RSV the weekend before and wasn't completely over it. I didn't think you'd appreciate my sniffles and coughs at a barbecue....or the fact that being 9 months pregnant I.must.always.feed and could out eat all of you.

Did not make it out to yours, but Carbondale,CO will be having theirs tomorrow. Short parade, Guiness at several establishments, and I'm cooking up the corned beef, red potatoes, and cabbage tonight. Have a great day everybody!!
