'Clan' MacEvil tartan Order
Hello Guys and Gals,
THIS IS NOT a thread debating the positives and negatives of the name of the tartan. There is another thread that covered that in the 'Tartans and Heraldry' section.
THIS thread is to give those of you who expressed an interest a heads up that we're weaving the 'Clan' MacEvil tartan in PV fabric as a special weave for the group. We are not going to have any left over fabric, so if you desire a kilt in this tartan, please speak now or forever hold your peace.
Here's a link to the tartan on the Scottish Register of Tartans:
http://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tar...aspx?ref=10139
If anyone is interested, the prices will be our STANDARD pricing for our Casual, Semi Traditional and mini kilts. Call the shop or email me about ordering: 610.935.3444 / rocky@usakilts.com

I love the name of the tartan, and it's overall look so might I ask what one needs to do in order to be priveledged anough to wear it?

All you'd have to do is send me your order.
The group has asked that we pass on any names / email addresses of people who are buying a kilt in their tartan, so that they can say hello and make you an un-official member of their 'clan'.

Outstanding! Of course I must consult with "she who must be obeyed" ( SWIMBO ) first but I'm sure the negotiations will come out in my favour.

Is there any of this tartan left? I love this tartan! It is exactly what I had in mind when thinking of designing a tartan for my fictional hero Destro, of the gijoe comic/cartoon series who happens to be a scottish arms dealer of the fictional clan McCullen....yeah, I'm a geek

Yes... we JUST got it in and have plenty for sale. Please note that we're making a few kilts from this tartan and the rest of the material will be bought (within 3 weeks from today) by the people who comissioned me to weave it. If you'd like a kilt in it (or just material), please give us a call this week.

Hey Rocky,
Any chance you can post an actual photo of the tartan? Those registry, computer generated, pics leave a lot to be desired.
Thanks,
Broooke

This is a good question and one that a few people may have. The user who sent me this PM (name removed in case he doesn't want to be recognized) has a FULL MAILBOX so I couldn't respond, so I figured I could post the response and kill 2 birds with 1 stone:
Hello,
The tartan will be gone by next week. The people who contracted us to register it are coming this weekend. The agreement with them was that any fabric left over from their initial order had to be purchased outright. We have all the fabric cut for their order and 1/2 of their kilts made. The bolt of fabric left will be purchased and leave our store on Saturday.
If you call the order in TODAY (or Thursday or Friday) and purchase the kilt, Yes, we CAN sell it to you. If you call in after they pick up the fabric on Saturday, it will no longer be available.
I'm not trying to 'pressure' you, just explaining the facts.

Hello Rocky!
I have a quick question on the macevil tartan. Could it be possible if I ordered the tartan, can I get it with the casual package? Cause I am comming in to PA next week and would love to swing by the shop and put in a order and check out the tartan first hand. Thanks again
