Rejoice with me
My daughter in law has presented me with an 8# 5.3 oz 20 inch long Grandson who glories in the name James Alexander.
Rather dicey at the last with an unexpected c-section and the mistress of ceremonies is pretty well zonked.
The cause of all this sleeps and eats and excretes and thus fulfills his place in the ecology in superb fashion.
My son has disappeared behind the lens of a camera to emerge in 18 years. It is thus left to me and my wife to spoil the kid rotten. ![Toast](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/toast.gif)
May you find joy in the wee, ken the universe in the peculiar and capture peace in the compass of drop of dew

I join you in your celebration. I know that when my granddaugter (the first one to come along) was born, I was not in the least prepared for the wash of emotion that covered me when I first laid eyes on her perfect little body.
I was smitten and have remained so.
Give the little critter a hug for me, and tell his mother and your son that I send greetinging to them and to James Alexander. (What a dandy name. A fine name if ever there was one.)
And toast your wife for a job well done and prepare to assume the mantle of chief spoiler of children. It is a grandfather's purogative to do so.
Here's to James Alexander. I hope to see him kilted at the games very soon.

Congratulation to the new parents and on the arrival of your Granddaughter.
I pray that mother and baby are well. And raise a glass in their honor

Congratulations! Tell James I've got a girlfriend for him only about 10 months his senior.

Congratulations on such a blessing!
Interestingly enough, my earliest known Scots-Irish immigrant ancestor was James Alexander Wauchope from Carrickfergus, County Antrim. I've always thought that "James Alexander" was a great name.
