Losing The Saltire - Horror Story or Nightmare??
So hey...the Saltire is flying all about Northern Arizona, the rezlands, and tagged along on my brief vacation to the San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado last weekend.
Alls been well, though she flew in some very high winds, over some very deep canyons, and deep into an underground mine.
Sunday morning we had to move from Orvis Hot Springs to Box Canyon Inn and Hot Springs which involved a lot of reloading the car with our "stuff" and then unloading the car at Box Canyon.
After we're settled in I went looking for the Saltire - couldn't find her. Must have left her down in the car. Right...that's what I did. But I worried. My friend offered to check when she went down to the motel office on an errand. She came back and told me that the Saltire was NOT in the car. Okay, NOT in our room and NOT in the car....
Okay fine...maybe she just didn't look well enough. Certainly its in the car. No worries. It'll be there in the morning....
Somewhere around 0 dark thirty I awaken from a deep sleep with a memory - I put the Saltire in the lemonade can carton to make it easier to haul up the stairs at the motel and handed it to my friend with a bunch of clothing. That's it! The Saltire in in the lemonade can carton in the refrigerator...
Jubilant, I get up, open the refrigerator, and poke my hand into the lemonade can carton...The Saltire is NOT there!!
No way!! Its GOTTA be there...rummage around some more and danged if it hasn't managed to roll UNDER the lemonade cans...hiding...
But now cold, but found, the worries are over.
How would I explain that after nearly two years of traveling the World some fat olde kiltie misplaced her?
Would it have been better if she'd fallen into a canyon and proudly floated away on rushing snowmelt?
Really nice to have her around...but dang...scary there for a few hours...

Is there a picture of the fearless flier in the fridge to show that she's safe and sound?

No refrigerator pics, but lots of pics posted of yesterday's drive home through the snow, over the mountains, and across the rezlands.
Maybe the refrigerator time was "training" for the cold trek over the mountains in the high winds and snow.

I saw those, and they're beauties, as always. I'm sort of envious of the snow. It's been in the 80s around here lately.

I have to admit, Ron, that I did fear for the wee vessel's safety a bit when I saw those pics over various canyons and gorges. I hope you have a good firm grip for any upcoming photo shoots!

Would have been a nightmare indeed if the Saltire had got lost. Much as it was a great honour to have the Saltire visit me here earlier this year, I have to admit to a huge sigh of relief when the Saltire was safely passed into the hands of the next recipient Jock Scot.

![Laughing](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif) perhaps some do`s and donts need to be added into the ships controls ,its all fun seeing the images with the wee ship but is it worth losing something so precious to alot of memebers on here for the sake of a pixelated image

Isn't the punishment for losing the Saltire being sent a box that's chock-full of moths? ![Laughing](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
Glad to hear our dear airship was located. That must have been a relief.

"Not lost...just mislocated." That's what I always say. Where does the good ship head next? If she's still around come July she could attend the Flagstaff Celtic Fest and spend a few fun days with us ?
