    Remember the Removal Ride

You may recall from last year the Cherokee youth who retraced the Northern route of the Cherokee Removal via Bicycle. They are on the road again if you would like to follow along....

I bet that is both an emotional and a growth experience for the kids. Thanks for sharing. May the wind be at their backs and downhill all the route.

A sad piece of our nations history and I think it is good that we do not let it fade into the past.

I hope their ride goes well.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear
