One must remember

Sometimes it is good to remember the reasons we so proudly wear our kilts. I must admit to recently forgetting many of the reasons. Do not misunderstand. I know the reasons in my head but I have misplaced the reasons in my heart. I forgot that we wear them in remembrance of all the great highlanders and scotsmen in general. I wear a kilt in honor of my family, my clan and my heritage. Let no man put us aside because we chose to honor our history.

So may we all raise a dram of our finest scotch, and toast our heroes, William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, Robert Burns, and the regimental highlanders of all times. Thank you to all of these men and all of those who have fought and died to protect us.

The movie made his deeds well known.

Twice, while vacationing kilted around Cancun, Mexico this Spring someone who saw me kilted shouted out, with respect, "William Wallace!!"
