    Visiting Pastor

As usual, I attended services Sunday, also as usual, I was Kilted. Our Pastor is on Holiday, so a Lay Pastor visited. Services start normally, and then he states that he thought he saw someone in the congregation wearing a kilt. I stood up and waved, then sat back down.

He then said "A man in a kilt stands next to G_D."

Due to my hearing, I did not understand what he said, so I missed the chance to ask him. Do you think this is his statement, or does it come from somewhere else?

I suspect it could be a reference to the fact that Christ who stands next to God the Father, never wore pants. The garments of the day for men were either robes or a shorter garment that very closely resembles a kilt.

To wit, "Kiltedness is next to G_dliness"?

The pastor's quote isn't found on Google, or (you may be interested to know) it wasn't until you posted it on Xmarks. So depending on your faith (in Google), it seems to be original to the pastor.

The only related quote seen is "A man in a kilt is a man-and-a-half." Also true.
