Usually good music, some good vendors (USA Kilts, Utilikilts) and good food. There is a lot of down time between bands and if you are only going to see one or two favorite bands there can be very long stretches with not much to do. (We usually go out to dinner at a local restaurant - you can come and go as you please, which is nice.) We have gone 4 or 5 times in past years and have discovered some new bands. The parking is free, but I noticed that the price has gone up $5 from last year. It does get very crowded when some of the better-known bands play. They usually have the traditional music well away from the contemporary music. If you have any other questions send me a PM and I'll try to help you out.
Since you are now at Aberdeen, you might want to catch the Penn-Mar Irish Festival in June. It is right on the Maryland - Pennsylvania line. I think they have Ceann and the Screaming Orphans this year, as well as some traditional performers.
