    Reproduction kilts

I am looking at buying a reproduction kilt from What Price Glory. Has anyone purchased one before? Where you happy with it? I have several x-military kilts and am pleased with them. I always get a little nervous though before I buy something.

I bought one before in Gordon tartan and I hated it, it was way too short and made from what i can only describe as a blanket type material. I sent it back after about two days.

That said other people on here have bought from them and really like them.

Just my opinions, your mileage may vary.

Same thing, I bought one through the mail, and sent it back right away.

I too had owned a couple genuine MOD kilts, and had handled and examined hundreds of other MOD kilts, and I can assure you that the WPG kilts are absolutely nothing like MOD kilts in their look or feel.

The fabric has the oddest flimsy silky feel to it and hangs terribly.

Any ordinary modern properly made civilian kilt, made of Scottish woven kilting cloth, is far far far closer to the look and feel of an MOD kilt than the WPG kilt I tried on.

If you're looking for a military boxpleated kilt, Wanda MacSwain makes them for just a little more money than an ordinarly knifepleated kilt.

I also make military box-pleated kilts.
