Castle help
Hi all I'm looking for some help so I hope this is the right section.
My wife and I are planning for our 25 wedding annniversary in 2013, we are planning on doing a vow renewal in a scottish castle.
We are planning on going over this September. What I am looking for is reccomendations on casltes that would have accomodation for about 30 people preferably in the castle or a close bye hotel. All the guests would be coming over from Canada so it needs to be someplace that is easily accessable by public transit as most people will not be hiring cars.
I am of clan MacDonald so I may need to be wary of certain clan castles.
Thanks in advance as I am confident that the rabble will have some excellent ideas

Stonefield Castle
Too bad about being wary, or I'd have recommended Stonefield Castle in Tarbert, Argyllshire...
Actually Stonefield is in old Macmillan country so that should ease any anti-Campbell feelings in your group. They only have 33 rooms, so I would suggest you book asap to avoid disappointment.

or, if that's too far away, try...

Dalhousie Castle
I've hosted several events at Dalhousie Castle just outside of Edinburgh, and can give it two thumbs up! That said, I wouldn't waste any time in booking as these venues tend to fill up fast.

Dunnottar is available, but the chapel doesn't have a roof, and there are no accomadations in the castle. There are several very nice B&Bs in Stonehaven, and a couple of these are right on the beach. Of course this is a Keith area, and is on the other side of the country from McDonalds. No conflicts between our clans, but it is a way off from your home area.

Aikwood Tower is a possibility in the Scottish Borders.
http://www.aikwoodtower.com/
Its a former Clan Scott stronghold.
Out in the country, nearest town is Selkirk which is about ten miles away and is served by an hourly bus from Edinburgh or from Carlisle.
Local bus operators can organise a hire coach to take the guests from Selkirk to Aikwood.
