    Fly Plaid or Mini-Fly Plaid

I have recently gotten my Clan Montgomery (modern) kilt and I'm looking for a fly plaid or a mini-fly plaid to wear with it. I'm looking for someplace that won't kill my budget.

I have seen photos of people wearing the fly plaids with out the jackets and I like the look although I would truly love to have a mini to wear with my Prince Charlie jacket.

Can anyone recommend any sites that don't charge an arm/leg/first born/soul?

What is a mini? I didn't realize there was a difference, or maybe i have never noticed.

from what I have gathered a "mini" is a fly plaid that doesn't have as much material and is folded down to look more like a pleated scarf or smaller swatch of material than the larger bulky full fly plaid. I'm not positive though.

I don't mean to tell you what, or not to wear,or how to spend your money, so I hope you will not take offence at my question. Do you really need a fly plaid? They are not what I would describe as essential kilt attire and as you mention that dreaded word "budget", I do wonder whether you will really need a fly plaid?

Though I don't own one, yet, and thus cannot give you first-hand advice, I like the half-belted plaid available at New House Highland, viewable and described at the url

    http://www.newhousehighland.com/plaid1.html

The cost seems very reasonable to me. Good luck in your search
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
