Innocent 'til proven kilty
Hi everyone. This is my first post so, I figured just a quick intro would fit nicely. My name's Steve and I'm originally from Newberry, MI U.S.A. in the great Upper Peninsula. Sadly enough, though, I've been living in the Lansing area of MI for the last 13 years or so. Not a bad town, but there's no place like home, after all.
Currently, I'm kiltless and "bifurcated". The closest I've gotten to wearing a kilt is a bath towel after the shower, but that felt pretty good, so I'm thinking of getting my first one soon, or possibly even taking a shot at making one.
I'm thinking my first one's going to be a cargo style in medium weight denim or maybe that stuff they make "Dickies" work pants out of. I've found tons of advise on this style, through this site and a few others, and I'm thinking between what I know and what my mother knows about tailoring, I can tackle a project like this.
Anyways, I was geeked as heck to stumble across this site, and at how friendly and supportive all the discussions come across.
Looking forward, -Steve

I grew up near Flint, went to MSU and taught math at Holt Middle School for a stint before joining the Navy.
Good luck with the dickies kilt, and be sure to show pictures of the finished product!
