I finally got my kilt!!!! Also a video..
So I finally got my kilt. I posted a long time ago on here because I was having a hard time gettin myself a kilt. One of the guys in the pipe band im in (Miami Vally Pipes and Drums) sent an e-mail out for a kilt that was on some special sale. I got it from the "Scottish Kilt Company" all the way from Scotland. I got it for like 80 smackers and its real nice! ![](http://s1092.photobucket.com/albums/i417/Strongpipes/?action=view¤t=Photo031118471.jpg)
Here is a video from two nights ago. This is me and my friend Even (The drummer) jammin at a talent show. We were the favorite and we also won! I hope you guys like how we jazzed up Highland Cathedral and Scotland the Brave.

Finally got a kilt!
Hey guys and gals! Long time no see! I finally got myself a kilt! Its a Clan Mackenzie tartan. I got it from the Scottish Kilt Company for a good 80 smackers. Its real nice to! Real nice!
Here is a video of me and my friend Even (The drummer) playing the Church song "We Thank Thee o God for a Prophet" then we played a more fun and a more "jazzed up" version of the tune "Highland Cathedral" and "Scotland the Brave"
The video is real blurry, but the sound is great. If you kinda look hard, we used the seat of a folding chair as a drum. It turned into one of Evens favorite drums and he has found ways to make some real interesting sounds!
Anyways, I hope you guys like our performance... We won by the way. Everyone voted us the best.

Congratulations on your new kilt Stu!
As you say, it's a pity that the vid is blurred but the sound is good. I enjoyed the jazzed up Highland Cathedral and I guess that hearing a church song on the pipes was a novel experience for the audience. We thank Thee O God for a Prophet can't be an easy one to transcribe for the pipes.
I would love to hear Come, Come Ye Saints" or The Army of God on the pipes sometime!
Perhaps a photo to compensate for the blurriness so we can see the kilt in all its glory?

The forum software automatically translates a URL to a hypertext link. If you want a picture to show up, you need to put it in image tags: [img]link-to-picture[/img].
Also, to make a direct link to a Photobucket image, strip out everything between the last slash and the name of your image: ...albums/i417/Strongpipes/?action=view¤t=Photo031118471.jpg
Or just click "Direct link" in the "Share this photo" box on the right side of the Photobucket page, and it will be copied to your clipboard.
