Major Jonesing in progress
So as the title states, the jonesing has begun. I am currently awaiting the arrival of 2 kilts! First which should arrive sometime next week is my MacPherson Modern from sportkilt, a good lightweight kilt for hiking and just plain ole kicking around in. the second is my MacPherson Dress Wool kilt that i just placed an order for last night, this will be the kilt that i wear to my wedding next June! this one will take a bit longer to arrive but it will be worth the wait, i have done a lot of research on where i was going to get this kilt in order to fit my budget. And now that the order has been placed i feel like i need to start researching my next kilt just so i have something to do, lol.
I am still trying to get all the odds and ends together for my prince charlie outfit. I'm still looking for just a vest to go with the PC jacket, but it seems to be rather trialsome to find a place that will sell just the vest. i have an post in the want adds section on here in hopes some one may have one, and have also been search Craigs list and ebay.
I told the wife that since i don't get to see her dress before the wedding she doesn't get to see my kilt before then either, though its going to be real hard not to wear it all the time!

well to my surprise my sportkilt arrived earlier than expected (actually a few minutes after i had posted this thread) so i did the only thing i could think of doing, putting it on and going for a hike! i went to my local state forest, which also happens to be where i work, and climbed a fire tower and here a few pictures from the top.

this is my first 'light weight' kilt and i like it alot, great for hiking in this warmer weather that we have been having right now. So now I only have to wait a few months for my wedding kilt to be made and then I can enjoy yet another new kilt!

Looks good brother, I was/am the same way, the day I ordered my first kilt, I placed an order for my second, now that they are both here, I think I'm planning as far out as my 6th now, (that's probably a low estimate, so I don't reveal my true addiction).

I like that tartan. I'm not a fan of Sportkilt Kilts personally but I can see their practical application for hiking and heavy athletics.
Does it say ORGY on your T-shirt? You'll not be wearing that after you're married...

You might want to keep an eye on ebay.co.uk too if you arent already... They quite often have sellers who split jackets and waistcoats... Most are willing to ship to the US if you ask.

Wonderful! You will especially love the Macpherson dress (Macpherson of Cluny) tartan - it is one of our oldest tartan setts in the Clan Macpherson, and by far, the most popular tartan amongst the clan, for Highland evening attire - see a few of my photos below. Well done, cousin!
