Help figuring which Tartan these are???

I have a friend whose father passed and he had several kilts in his closet. She doesn't believe they have a scottish lineage so she has no idea what clan they are or why he had them. Can anyone tell me what they might be?

Without pictures, I can only guess, but unless he was a clothing collector (specialising in ethnic clothing), he used to wear them.

    Regards

Worth checking the ebay site if you are XL. Size 11 ghillies, one PC jacket/vest, Burns stuff.

Anyway, here are the pics she is asking about:

It would be better to see the Kilts photo'd off the hangars and showing the front apron.

    I'll hazard a guess though.

Can a MacFarlane wear a Smith kilt? I thought I read this somewhere but now I can't remember the connection.

If you have MacFarlane in the family tree, it's pretty likely there's a Scottish connection.

You'd probably have to look at his whole genealogy to determine where a Gordon or Smith connection might be.

    in any case!
