Never heard of it! Gotta go see if I can find it online. A long, but beautiful drive for me.

Re: Aztec NM highland games
Turns out I will not be able to make it to these games this year .
However, I am interested in knowing if anyone else is planning on going as I would love to see photos of the area.
So anyone going? Taking pictures?

Re: Aztec NM highland games
I hate to miss this event. However, I've been out of town all week and another drive on short notice is too much for these weary bones.
How about next year?

Re: Aztec NM highland games
For me, it's mainly about the timing. Scheduling it for the same weekend as the start of the Balloon Fiesta was, in my mind, not the best idea on the part of the organizers. I have a long-standing tradition of attending the opening mass ascension with my daughter sort of in honor of her birthday 10/11. We've been doing that ever since we moved to New Mexico. The Balloon Fiesta is always the first full week in October so it makes me wonder if there will always be a conflict scheduling-wise...
