The Question reversed?
So it happened again, female kilt lifters, last week in a Glasgow pub and last weekend on a street in Rothesay,Isle of Bute after their highland games.
Yes, you can say that I'm on a roll with drunken females wanting to find out what's under my kilt.
On both occassions, each girl said that they wanted to find out what I was wearing under my kilt, now if I attempted to lift the skirt of the pretty young female in the Glasgow pub last week and said what she said, that I only wanted to see what she was wearing under her skirt. What would have happened?
Does anyone think that sex equality would apply here?

If you were wearing a skirt, no female would want to know.
It is part of the mystique of the kilt.

I figure you could simply just start charging 10 quid a peek... You'd make out like a bandit!

Apparently not, it seems.

Reversing the question didn't work for me. When I responded to the young 20-something questioner that, as a gentleman, I would never ask a lady what she was wearing underneath, she responded, "a thong," and proceeded to unzip her jeans to show me. I managed to preserve the mystery of the kilt.

Still think a "Kilt Check" booth would be a great revenue stream for any highland games. Maybe combine a kissing both with a kilt check booth.
Ladies are so curious and just wanna have fun.

I have come to believe that it isn't the kilt, as such, it's the confidence a man has to have in order to wear one that women find so appealing. Whatever it is, I like it! (So does my wife.)
Scotland is only 1/5 the size of Montana, but Scotland has over 3,000 castles and Montana has none.

I do think that's a big part of it. Yesterday, my girlfriend being occupied with her mom visiting from out of state, I treated myself to a day at the movies to catch up on stuff she either had already seen but I hadn't (Harry Potter) or wouldn't dream of seeing regardless (Conan the Barbarian).
On my way out from the theater/food court area to go to a Hooters restaurant elsewhere in the mall, a small group of uniformed workers from one of the mall esatblishments was taking a break by the parking structure. A red-haired lass among them called out, "Awesome kilt, sir -- absolutely awesome!!"
I thanked her and continued on my way. Before I was out of sight and earshot, the girl also said pointedly and loudly to her (male) companions, "No man should ever be afraid to wear a kilt, anywhere!"

Great idea, the Fringe is still on in Edinburgh, maybe I should get a wee stall in some nook and crannie in the Royal Mile and open for business, I sure will need the bucks next month
