We attended a whisky tasting at our Loch Ness Whisky Parliament last night featuring a selection of fine drams from the Benromach distillery in Moray. The drams were; 10 Year Old ~ 43% Organic Special Edition ~ 43% Origins 1 ~ 50% Peat Smoke ~ 46% 25 Year Old ~ 43% 1978 Rare Malts ~ 63.8% I think it’s fair to say that the 25 year old was the group’s favorite although I personally preferred the Origins. A good sum was raised for a local charity and a nice evening had by all !
Lovely picture!

Sounds like a lovely evening. Any kilts there?

To clear our heads after the Whisky tasting we went to the Shinty/Hurling International - Alba v Eire in Inverness. Although we didn't win, it was a good game and there were a few kilts were worn around about. Indeed, a kilted Norrie "Tago" MacIver from the band Mànran sang 'Flower of Scotland' when the teams were lined which was very nice.
