Awaiting my first Kilts...
So I pulled the trigger not once, but twice on my new garment choice. After weeks of asking questions here, hesitating, almost buying, waiting, and selling stuff to pay for it, I have purchased two kilts I'm waiting for. One is a survivor UK, because anything worth doing, blah, blah, blah, and the other, which I'm actually a little more excited about, I found on ebay. 8 yards of traditional wool bliss, or at least that's what I'm hoping. I'll post picks of both. Tell me what you think. I'll post picks of me in them as well, when I get them, as I understand that's what you do when you get a kilt as a member of this forum. Now I just gotta get some money together for a sporran, and some socks, but hey, it's a start. So tell me how I did. My UK should be here tomorrow, so I'll give my feedback on my impression of kilt wearing then. Thanks for all the help everyone. I don't know what I would have ended up with had it not been for xmarksthescot's forum. I can't seem to copy this picture, so here's the link of the tradition 8 yard wool kilt http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_500wt_1287 . and the UK is this one http://www.utilikilts.com/img/produc...urvival_sm.jpg . sorry about the links, I can't find anything to attach an image.

Thanks for posting the pic. I did see an option to attach anything. And thanks for your response to the tartan. I feel like I got lucky on that one.

I am not a fan of UKs, but the Nicholson is quite a steal!

Everyone to their own individual tastes and styles...I had a UK and could never adjust to the narrow apron. I am very comfortable with a traditional apron as I have both styles of kilts, traditional wool and modern kilts. I have modern kilts in both heavy cotton twill from AltKilt and hemp from Rkilts and find them much more comfortable. To me once I had a traditional wool kilt (I avoid the word tartan because it was Saffron) the issue with UK became more pronounced and I sold it.
