Remembering my Grandfathers today
Today I am thinking about my grandfathers Albert F. Rassmuss 1899-1975 and Clyde W. Daugherty 1903-1979. Both saw heavy combat in wartime, Albert in France and Belgium in WWI and Clyde in the Pacific in WWII. Death and destruction were ugly, horrific realities to them and this affected them both, each in a different way. Both were honorable men and true heroes. I miss them very much. Let us all remember the men who made great sacrifices in defending freedom today.

Hear hear. They may pass from our physical realm but they will be with us always and we are the beneficiaries of their service.
