    Scotweb Tartan Designer - weathered colors?

    Has anyone who has played around with Scotweb's Tartan Designer found suitable colors for rendering a tartan in weathered/reproduction colors? I am trying to see what a particular tartan would look like in this color pallet and I'm having a hard time getting it to look right.

    Re: Scotweb Tartan Designer - weathered colors?

    I turn my tartans into weathered ones all the time. Its pretty easy. Use weavers colors.
    Black =(goes to) Charcoal grey
    Blue = Morning grey
    Green = Barley brown(brown in general)
    Red = Redwood or terracotta
    Yellow = Coopers yellow
    White = muted white

    Try that and tell me what you think.
    Somebody ought to.
