The name of the tartan is right there on the gentleman's sporran. It's the Edinburgh Castle tartan.

    Tobus is correct.

Edinburgh Castle Corporate Tartan STA ITI# 7958 classified as either corporate or fashion tartan.

Several pictures of the tartan in use there as well.

Appears to have been designed by and likely woven by Geoffrey as they show it on their website:

It appears that these two gentlemen are acting as official guides or docents to Edinburgh Castle itself (name badges are a dead giveaway), which I now recognize from the background in the photos (first appears to have been taken in the courtyard of the upper castle itself while the second just outside on the walkway leading up to the courtyard and castle proper). Also makes sense if the first gentleman is wearing an Edinburgh Castle embossed sporran.

And FWIW, I am really liking the sweater/jacket combination in the first picture! It seems to be a very modern cut on the jacket, and when paired with that sweater, it has a unique look to it. Modern, yet with a nod to quaint, and almost a hint of the ministerial look. *shrug*
