    Happy Valentine's Day!

Very geeky, but, if you use your imagination, this solar flare almost makes a heart shape. The image was captured on Valentine's Day last year, when the Sun emitted its first X-class solar flare in more than four years. At 900 km/second, it reached the Earth on February 16 last year.

    Barb,

The moon can't wax, and the sun won't shine,

    Re: Happy Valentine's Day!

For the first time since my lovely wife and I have been together, I hadn't had a chance to do anything.

Walked in to find my youngest waiting to give me a card from Mum, a lovely roast lamb dinner with tiramisu dessert anda big hug and kiss.

Must make sure the wife takes Valentine's off more often!

What kind of camera/telescope/whatever was used to take that picture, Dr. T?
