    San Diego Tartan Day 2012

I only took a few pictures this year for the San Diego Tartan Day Festival. It was a beautiful day and I got to see some of my friends, but no X-Markers that I know of.

I am waiting for a friend to send me the pictures he took of me and I'll post them later.

Too bad we missed spotting you, Bob was there in Leatherneck and I sported my XMarks tartan kilt. In that last picture, if you just look to the left. . . out of frame. . . there we are LOL

Will have a few pix to post myself later on, time to get dinner in the oven right now!

Sydnie and I will be at the Vista games in June for sure. That is one of our favorite games. We will be at the Clan Donnachaidh tent off and on during the day when I can drag Sydnie away from the vendor tents.lol We usually manage to gather one or two others to go to dinner at the end of the day. We have gone to Henneseys the last three or four years. We look forward to meeting you.

I'm soooooo jealous! I spent many-a-weekend there in the International Village when I was in San Diego. Tartan day in Balboa park would be epic, awesome, and a bunch of other cool adjectives....

Thanks for the pics. Looks like it was a great time.

That photo is of the "opening ceremony." The color guard has brought in the flags and the woman at the mike (I didn't catch her name or position) played MC for the official welcomes, a few speeches, singing of national anthem and first verse of Flower of Scotland, etc. I thought it sad that one of the fellows on the dais wasn't kilted!

    Chas,

Those were all the folks that put this celebration together. The House of Scotland in Balboa Park, the Norht County Scots and the Highland Games people and the Black Watch Color Guard and so on. They are all a great bunch of people.

I met with a couple of friends there and just hung out and enjoyed the afternoon.
