Lightweight PV kilt for summer
I was looking at http://imperialhighlandsupplies.com/...roducts_id=621 and they say they can do any tartan in any size for £30.00
You can select length etc. and weight of fabric, 8oz or 13oz. There are not many retailers that go beyond the 24" standard length without paying £100+ for made to measure.
So my questions are...
How does 13oz PV compare with 13oz wool?
What would 8oz PV feel like? heavy, light or very light.
What is the material like compared with wool? Stiff, woolish or like a dish cloth?
It does not say what yardage is used in the kilts? 5/6yd, 8/9yd etc?
Anyone purchased a kilt from them?
I may send them a request for information.
They seem to do a vast range of stuff and their jackets also look nice.
Chris.
