Visit to scotland
It's been a whole year since I visited the X Marks site.....just got birthday greetings from the site, so thought I would chime in. Went on my first tour of Scotland from May 15 to the 25 with some friends and 30 other folks....Jim Malcolm and his wife Susie, Scottish folk singers, hosted and ran this tour. WOW.....I don't believe any tour could have been better. Special music each night, best lodgings, dram of different whisky each evening; Edinburgh, St. Andrew's, Falkland Castle, Roslyn Chapel and Castle, Perth, Balhousie Castle/Blackwatch Museum, Balmoral, Culloden, Inverness, Great Glen, Glencoe, Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, Isle of Mull, Tobermoray, Iona, Ayr and all the Burns' spots (I did the Address to Haggis in the Brigadoon Tavern), Glasgow....and many other spots and memories. I wore my kilt every evening to dinner (took two along....I was a real tourist!), and also wore it four other full days (special days i.e Culloden). I'm ready to go back!!
