SEVEN DAYS WITHOUT A POST... makes one weak, again...

I recognize that people have been busy, but I don't imagine people in either Scotland or Canada (or elsewhere outside the USA) had the day off on Wednesday, so where are the Traditional comments?

Here on the Other Side of the Tracks, the temperatures have topped 100 F several times. I have to admit that wearing my kilt did not even enter into my mind, but maybe a little bit of discussion of cool weather accoutrements will give some relief. I recently saw a jacket made of quilted nylon material - what I think is sometimes called a puffer jacket, but not the Michelin Man style- the thinner kind. Anyway, this particular jacket was styled like a blazer, with lapels and a curved cut at the front bottom... I am sorry, I can't find any other pictures, except in a blog post:

It's a little long for kilt wear, but I wonder... I don't think the same idea would work if it were cut exactly like an Argyll, but I think it makes an interesting transition between the rough country look of a Barbour or similar jacket and the lapelled blazer- Argyll. So what say ye? Could this jacket be worn with a kilt?

If you'd like quilted blazer, but you dislike nylon, there's always this one in tweed:

( not to my taste, or my pocketbook...)

But wait, there is more. If you don't find a puffy quilted blazer odd enough, how about a waxed cotton waistcoat- cut like a regular pointy-bottom waistcoat- AND IN BLACK WATCH TARTAN!
