kilt jacket - aye or nay

I have a nice sport jacket that I am thinking of converting to a kilt jacket. However, I am not sure if the pattern may be too bold to go with my tartan kilts. Advice from the rabble would sure be helpful.
I am going to apologize right here and now for what I expect is going to be a large picture. I have spent the last hour trying to figure out how to resize it, all to no avail. I know I have resized pics before but this one scanned from my printer just will not re-size. Truly sorry.

I don't think it's too bold at all. As long as the cut of the lapel isn't too long and the button placement on the jacket's front works, I'd say "Go For It".

The pattern looks fine to me. Definitely not "too bold" to go with a tartan kilt. Heck, many of the tweed kilt jackets out there are much bolder than that. If anything, I'd say that pattern is pretty tame, and will tend to blur into one single hue from more than a few feet away.

    Go for it.

I think it will make an excellent kilt jacket.

If it's a 44L, then no, you shouldn't wear it. You should send it to me and I'll wear it.

By all means, cut it down and wear it proudly. It's a very handsome pattern.

Lovely. I'd wear it. Some I've seen are much louder.

Compared with some we have seen here, it looks quite subtle.

I'm throwing my hat into the its not too bold ring. Looks like a rather fetching tweed that should go great with a kilt. Looking forward to seeing pictures after the conversion. With you in it of course ...

Bold? No way, it is in fact rather subtle compared to some that I see around.
