Virginia Celtic Gathering and Highland Games
The Virginia Celtic Gathering and Highland Games (formerly the Williamsburg Scottish Festival) are to be held Saturday, October 6th in Lanexa at Rockahock Campgrounds. I plan to attend but will not be convenning a Clan tent. For those who are attending how does a Meet Up at 1 PM at the Scottish Tartans Museum tent sound?

Hello Mael, another meetup would be nice if I am able to make it to this event. It is a little over three hour drive for us, which is pushing it for a day trip. The Scottish Tartans Museum being there would be enough for me, it would be great to have a chance to meet Mr. Newsome. My wife will be a little harder to convince, is this event a decent sized one? I see it is held at a campground. Thanks and hope to meetup again soon. -Tommy

Hey Tommy,
Usually Matt doesn't attend this festival. Would be good to have you there!

Hi, Ern. I haven't been on much lately, but I'm still alive and kicking. I've been taking chemo for nearly a year now, and I've lost some weight and always seem short of breath, but I do plan on being in Williamsburg for the festival, so I'm looking forward to the meet-up. I haven't tried any of my kilts on recently, but I am hoping I can still wear them, but I don't know. I weighed 237 last October when I started chemo. Now I weigh 195. Anyhow, it will be good to see some of the guys, whether I'm kilted or not.

We need to move our Meet Up as the Scottish Tartans Museum is not attending this year. Let's make it at the Elliott Clan Tent at 1 PM and drink all of Sir Williams's whisky!

Sounds good to me, especially the "Whiskey part". Of course if Annette gets us another Irish Coffee like we had last year, I might not be navigating to well. It was about 12 ounces and seemed to be at least half whiskey.
On another note, are we planning a meetup at the new Richmond games, at RIR this year. I plan on going, but only one day, probably Saturday.
