The downside to weight loss.......
Well I've lost about 55# over the last few months, and my Xkilt does not fit any more, and I don't see an easy way to alter it to fit. So now I am trying to decide which one to make this time....a standard Xkilt or the RevK version. Your opinions are most welcome.
Probably gonna just use a poly/cotton material to make it, maybe a camo patern. Not sure about that yet.

First off, congratulations on the weight loss! Bravo!
As to which to make, why not stick with a standard xkilt?

Thanks.
As far as why, just something different. I have made a standard Xkilt, just thinking about trying something new, but not ready for a traditional build yet.

My favourite form of pleating is the reverse Kingussie, and I have taken them apart and remade smaller several times, but I do not sew down the fell, so it is just a matter of removing the waistband and the top line of sewing having secured the outer fold of each pleat with a couple of pins.
It is then just a matter of measuring where the folds should be to achieve the smaller size and tacking them into place, checking that it is correct, that the top of the pleats are level where they should be, then remaking the waistband.
The way that the pleats lie one over the next seems to make them more stable than other methods of pleating.
