kilters going south this winter
Do any of you Xmark members, from the northern states, go south in the winter? We have a 5th wheel camper and think maybe this year we would try someplace warmer. Looking at the Florida and maybe Texas, Gulf Shores, or any other ideas. Would like maybe someplace close or near a nice beach to walk, and things to explore. Will not be able to leave till after Feb. 8th, granddaughters 1st birthday, would be in a heap of trouble if we missed that.

I am from a northern state but moved south a long time ago and spent about 35 years living on the Gulf coast, first Galveston and then near South Padre Island. If you are interested in deserted beaches and less crowded conditions than Florida, you might consider the Port Isabel entrance to South Padre. It is about the same latitude as Miami and far less expensive. The area has some of the best birding in the nation. Texans head to CO in the winter, get even and move south.
