I cheated the reaper. Please pray for the victims & families who didn't
This one hit very close to home (literally and figuratively). I drove through this tunnel only mere hours before it collapsed, killing at least 9 people. We were in Tokyo this weekend for the annual Run for the Cure race, and this happened after we returned home (again, driving on the very same road this happened on).
As far as I know, our friends, family, and co-workers are also safe, as no one but our small group of friends had planned a trip into Tokyo on Sunday.

Please keep the people who have been affected by this tragedy in your prayers.
Thanks,
JD

Nobody cheats the reaper, JD, but we are very pleased that he bowed his cowled head and passed you by.

Wow! I am glad that you and your family are safe, JD.
I am sorry to hear that others were not as fortunate.
