Stitching?? You'd think I'd learn..
This is my second kilt. Locharron Modern Maxwell from Burnett's and Struth. Nonetheless, I don't remember my stitching looking the same on the back of my last kilt. My last kilt is also 17oz. and felt and looked different. Feels like if I cut these stitches, it would just be loose fabric (11oz. I believe). Looks like I should cut it as well. Just not familiar with these little guys. Any ideas?

that looks just like machine basting, much cheaper and faster to do than by hand. but serves much the same purpose, B & S have a reasonable reputation so there shouldn't be a problem, why not give them a call if you are still unsure, but it should be removed carefully!

I manned up and took them out. Of course I needed to remove them.
