The Mac is back!
Having gotten my MacKintosh Hunting resized by my kilt maker I was ready to strap it on. I've been on the road too much to get out and about kilted (kilts and grouse camp don't mix), but was presented with an opportunity. My wife's company has a large Christmas party every year. So kilted I would be.
As I had a bit of time before meeting my wife to go to the party I decided I'd stop in at the cigar bar for a drink and a smoke. Right away the kilt drew the attention of an attractive Irish girl at the bar which provided a few minutes of interesting conversation and a laugh.
Latter at the party I was accosted by an Irish gentleman who wondered why I was wearing a klt. He was quite insistent that he could never wear a kilt because he wasn't "entitled" to. I chose not to educate him, and doubt he'd have believed me anyway.
Got plenty of compliments, and have been assured by a few wives that next year their husbands will be kilted.

After at least one very divisive thread lately, with a lot of hurt feelings I was great relieved to see this was not a topic related to computers.
Hopefully you will have future pictures with a little brighter view of the tartan. Thanks for the pic.

I really like the MacKintosh Hunting, very sharp! When I can afford an 8yd, that is my tartan of choice. I also like the red MacKintosh and the Chattan, but the MacKintosh Hunting is really a nice balance of color and I think I would wear it a lot.
Congrats on the new, smaller size and what seems like an excellent evening out and about kilted.
