Holiday poem for the XMTS Forum

    This holiday time
    with its bustle and travel
    suggests that a poem
may be good for the rabble!

This year's been a good one
    for us kilt-wearing men,
whether you're new to the style
    or already have ten!

    Your kilt may be tartan,
    or hemp cloth, or leather.
You may wear it each day
or save it for cold weather.

You may wear it with sandals
    or hose from Argyle...
    but no matter our vision
we each take to the style.

We share thoughts in the forum
    and learn from each other...
    and in Phoenix or Glasgow
    we call us all "brother".

    Now wearing the kilt
    can invite folks to tease....
But it's just that they envy
    our feeling the "breeze".

    Some clever men make their
    own sporrans and belts.
    Still others are sewing
    their whole blessed kilts.

    And many amongst us
    are Newbies like me,
    who've learned from the others...
    That's really the key!

    We're all over the world,
    so wherever you stand,
    just raise a wee toast
    to our brotherly band.

May all good things next year
    come at us full tilt...
    and whatever we do
    let's be wearing the kilt!

    Happy Holidays
