Difference in belting levels...protection
Ok, I have run into an issue that maybe someone on this side of things could remedy...I in the past regularly engaged in shall we say combative sports-mainly armed-in a kilt. Of late, I have been considering, after some suggestion from acquaintances, to try my hand at the MMA side. I have a rudimentary understanding of the sport, and no great burning questions there. HOWEVER, my question posed here is on the side of protection-not WHAT, but how. It is universally required that hard protection be worn. I wear my kilt(s) with the belt at the real waist. The only hard protection I have been able to have experience with is the variety with an elastic band that sits lower, nearly on top of the hips. Given most of the fighting is done without a shirt, and the kilt tends to wander...How do you keep the protection from navigating south? With gloved hands, it is very difficult to adjust things...
A pitchfork is a polearm too!
