Braemar Summer School of Highland Dance and Kiltmaking

The Braemar Summer school of Highland Dance and Kiltmaking is scheduled for June 23-28 at the Emma Willard School in Troy NY. It's a chance to learn how to make a kilt in a friendly, fun atmosphere, with a mixture of students from newbie to expert.

People who are interested may reply here or search Braemar Sumer School for more information about the cost and other requirements. I just wanted to get the dates out so that people can make plans.

I have gone for the last four years and it is AWESOME!
One price and you have your private dorm room, three meals a day and access to the sewing room 24 hours a day .
Lots of extras like a gym, track, pool etc. but believe me, by wednesday you are not thinking of that stuff, time is closing in to finish your kilt. And it is cheaper if you don't need room and board, but nice to know it is there for the people who aren't like me and panic towards the end.
The school that it is held at is Emma Willart's and it is magical like "Hogwarts" (good if you sew like I do) your fingers may swell from overwork but you pleats will be straight!
I have been to 6 kilt camps (2 in California) and this is by far my favorite. You really get your moneys worth!
