Sewn pleats
I have noticed that some of my other kilts have the pleats sewn on both edges, while my Amerikilts have the pleats sewn only on the outside edge of the pleat. I assume that this extra stitching is done to make the pleats look crisper - could you sew the inner edge of the Amerikilt's pleats as well? Has anyone tried this yet?
Keep your hem down,
Linus

Several of the newer makers are sewing the pleats front and rear and I think it makes for a nicer garment. I own three AmeriKilts [black, tiger stripe and marpat] and they are great, but I think they could be made even nicer by stitching the pleats front and rear!

Gentlemen, dust off your sewing machines (or put your wives/girlfriends to work)
