    Large Baggy Caubeen

    High looking fir information on large Closed knit Caubeen's ! seen them i.Reenactments. They are 2-3 times bigger than regular like they've sagged from wear. An example is Charlie From Saor Patrol. I've seen people wearing Caubeen's that look like they soaked them and hung them upside down with a 8 pound bowling ball in them. Want too find a dark green and black one.

    Caubeen, no. But you might want to check out the Ferguson Britt or knit bonnets from the Scottish Tartan Museum. Link at top of page.

    Charlie is wearing an early-style knitted Scots bonnet, sometimes referred to as a "broad bonnet" - rather like I'm wearing in this photo:
