Amber Benson book signing
Not really kilt related, but I was kilted, and I know we have a few Buffy fans here on the forum.
I had the pleasure today (3/6) to see the lovely and talented Amber Benson at a signing for her new book "The Golden Age Of Death", the fifth book in her Calliope Reaper-Jones series. Amber is the multi-talented actress/writer/director/singer best known for playing Tara Maclay on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Amber is a real sweetheart. She spends plenty of time with every fan, and loves to do the Q&A and tell stories about whatever folks ask about. I've been to all but two of her five signings here in Houston and she always remembers the 'kilt guy' and asks about the tartan I'm wearing.

OK Zardoz, fess up! How come you're always pictured with beautiful women?! It ain't the kilt. I can attest to that. I even wear one of your cast off sporrans and it doesn't do me a bit of good. It must be your magnetic personality, ... or some other irresistible lure.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Well, Mookien, Pimpin' ain't easy!
Honestly, the kilt does do a lot. But like Eric Clapton says; it's in the way that you use it. Kilts can open the door, but it's important to get in and mix it up, not to just stand in the hallway, metaphorically speaking...

kilt lets them know that you are a cool fan--not just a creepy fan
LitTrog: Bah. You guys with your "knowledge" and "talents." Always taking the legs out from under my ignorant nincompoopery.

I am a "stand in the hallway" type of guy. That's why I wear the kilt. If I wore pants I would have my hands in my pockets, too, metaphorically speaking.
Actually, the only thing that stands between me and beautiful women is my wife!
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

That would explain it. Or, coming from Texas maybe it's "Eau de Billy Jo".
