Heavyweight Heritage MacDougall Tartan
Does anyone make the "new tartan " in a 16 ounce fabric ??

If by "new tartan" you're referring to MacDougall Modern in 16 oz, then yes, 2 different mills weave it as stock.

It's my understanding that the Heritage MacDougall tartan is only available through the Dunnollie Trust. (http://www.dunollie.org/history/the-...ougall-tartan/).
Perhaps figheadair will weigh in on the topic, as he probably knows more about it than anyone!

That's correct (about the Dunollie Trust). I've been helping them sort out a large run of both medium and heavy weight so they should be able to supply any time soon.
