    Cool Help Please!

I was recently at a family gathering in British Columbia, and my uncles were both showing off our tartans (we have both kilts) in our family photos..

Any ways, my uncle that lives in the middle of nowhere (literally), gave me a clip for his sporran.. or his sporran belt.. I am not sure. It's not a true D-Clip, I have attached two photos of it.. Obviously, it is broken, and he wants a replacement...

I cannot seem to find it ANYWHERE (the one tartan shop we had here has closed doors)

What would you call this clip?
    What is it for?
And where on this Earth can I find one?
Thank you in advance for your help,
    Out of my depth here...!
    Cheers
    Tara F.

(I am not sure how to add a picture using URL, not sure if it will show up or not!)

Tara the picture does not show. If when you post a reply you will see a task bar with fonts, smilies etc... If you click on the pic of a small tree surrounded by a frame you will be able to upload the picture direct from your PC.

These can be made with either a wire bending jig or a pair of pliers and a piece of wire. Place the two ends along the long edge that is hidden under the belt unsoldered or silver soldered. You could also contact one of the leather crafters advertising on this on XMarks. They may be able to sell you one of these clips.

I am sorry, there is no limitation on posting photos for new members.
Any member of this forum, new or not, may post photos. They just need to learn how.
