    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggg gggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I know know the pain of anticipation for a Newsome Kilt! I recently ordered (within the last month) a Kilt and matching vest from Matt in the Clan Chattan tartan in the Historic Wilson's colors. I'll probably be adding matching Argyle hose before all is said and done. I'm so used to dealing with Rocky and Kelly's team, and used to it being between 3-12 weeks......this is going to be positively nerve Wracking!

Does anyone else have a kilt from Matt in the Historic colors with Red as the main theme so I can get a better Idea of what I can expect.....aside from a wait well worth it.........

We've had two runs of Carolina tartan in the Wilsons colors, predominately red. Pics are here:

Only a month? You've not even begun to jones. Take a walk along the river, go see what's playing at the Fitzgerald, see if you can find Les Block, and any number of other things to keep you busy. The kilt will make a nice spring surprise for you.

True, I have not a whole lot of wait time under my belt.............being so accustomed to only having to wait 1 maybe 2 months at the most........and this is how its feeling already?! I'm just so excited more than anything. I've wanted a kilt from Matt for over 3 years and finally had the window to purchase........I've done most of what you have suggested already......my only comfort is playing with leather and "attempting" to make my own spin on rustic looking sporrans.

    Na bean don chat,
Is Chattan and Crubin the same? Did I just see yours on Matt's New House Highland facebook site?

In Wilsons' colours it would be more correct to refer to this sett as MacKintosh as that's what they called it. With the yellow in wool it was their MacKintosh - New Sett; the Old Sett had the yellow as a mix of wool and silk. There is a sample of this latter version in the Cockburn Collection as McPherson, here it is. Yours won't look quite the same as it won't have any silk and it won't be 200 years old
