Major train derailment early this morning!

Early this morning I was very shocked to see the breaking news about a major train derailment on Metro North's Hudson line, just 20 minutes north of Grand Central Terminal. It's really bad, with several fatalities and a lot of injuries. Sometimes I take this train to NYC, so it hits close to home.

These sorts of things are always hard to hear. May blessings be with all of them.

I also take Metro North into NYC, however I am on the New Haven line. Overall it has not bee a great year for this RR. I just saw on the news that they expect to have full service restored by this afternoon.

Last night I took Metro North (the Harlem line) to NYC for highland dance class. I couldn't stop thinking about about the people in that terrible accident and my heart goes out to them.
