Best Christmas present....ever
Gentleman and ladies who are present.....I have been given a gift, a gift so great that I cannot begin to describe it. My lovely Mrs has presented me with a trip to Scotland for my Christmas present!! I was stunned beyond belief when it was given to me.
We are going over a couple of days before the 700th anniversary reenactment of Bannockburn. We will be returning way too soon on July 5th. I plan on not sleeping a wink during the trip.
So in the near future, I will be begging advice on packing my kilts (I wear them full time so I'm taking quite a few) and other such things as wearing a sgian dubh while over there. I will pick your brains and then when I return...post pictures and stories till you want me to die.
I just had to share my good fortune with the Rabble.
Happy New Year to you all

Nay I say Jock. I want the place left just as it is..no use tidying up for the likes of me. I will try to leave it as I find it too.

That is a nice present, and it might have stopped raining by July.
You might also want to fit in a visit to Duncarron and the Clanranald Medieval Fortified Village. Its located about 10 miles from Bannockburn. You will find details of it if you google it.

Well done! Please do let me know if you and the Mrs. will be in the Kingussie/Newtonmore area in Inverness-shire. I can set you up with my great aunt and uncle for a place to stay, or to pop in for tea and a light lunch.
Cheers,
