    Free "tartan" knitting patterns

Free to download, patterns from an out-of-print Coats-Clark's pattern book that simulate various tartans. I wouldn't recommend wearing most of them with a kilt, but I can see other uses. . . enjoy!

You can download individual patterns free or pay some amount for the entire booklet.

Thanks Sydnie. My wife has been wanting a sock pattern...which I also saw on the site. One day ... but no time soon, I suspect ... I may be able to convince her to knit me some kilt hose.... maybe even argyll.

I wish I could learn to knit in my sleep...that's about the only extra time I have these days.
