I was wondering can any tartan pattern be worn by a man or woman ? I know some tartans can only be for military/police etc. My sis bought her one son a little kilt from a store in mall I believe last year.She got it in a store that mainly sells Irish stuff, I just noticed that it was made in China its a blend of Wool, polyester and something else.. She didn't want to waste $ on a real good one so she got it there, just incase he changes his mind..I was able to un buckle it reverse apron so it will be on the right ( because the apron opened on the left w fringe ) the pattern has alot of white then red, blue, green, yellow in it. So to save my sis son from embarrassing himself, I just want to know if any tartan pattern can be worn by males & females ? Thank u
